Do it for you.




We often get so caught up in other people’s opinions, when we should already have enough trust in OURSELVES. You are your own best advocate. You are 1000% capable of making your own decisions without anyone else’s help. Confidence is what will push you there. Remember that! As long as you tell yourself something is true, eventually you will begin to believe it and make it happen! So be your best self, do what you please in good manner and dream BIG!

Let your heart be your guide. My best friend, Rabbit (aka my boyfriend) is always saying, "if you can dream it, you can do it!" As cheesy as it is, it is so true! i don’t care what people say or think anymore about what i want, or choose to do. i feel like i ’ve been the type of person who always wants to go after something, but often i hold back because of how i’ll be judged or because my friends don’t agree with me. My head is always fighting with my heart. i also have seen through these past few months who will support anything i do regardless of their opinion – and people who are always there for me when i’m not doing well. it’s important to recognize what you want at a young age and start living for you – no one else. Don’t wake up in 10 or 20 years and regret not doing or saying something you wish you had because someone else held you back.

Devilishly Healthy Eggs.

Devilishly Healthy Eggs.

So i tried this recipe and i am thinking about making it again for my roommates and coworkers. When i made it the first time, EVERYONE was asking me where i got the recipe. Needless to say, it was a big hit. For those of you who love deviled eggs, but hate the fact that they are not the healthiest thing to eat, this recipe is wonderful. Deviled eggs are usually mixed with mayo which is loaded with fat and cholesterol. This recipe cuts the mayo in half and adds a healthy fat substitute.

INGREDIENTS:

1. 8 Hard-Boiled Eggs
2. 1 Large Ripe Avocado
3. 1 Lime
4. 1/4 Cup of Mayo

PREPARATIONS:

- Cut eggs in half, remove the yolk, and throw half of the yolks away. Place remaining yolks, avocado, and mayo in a blender. Before blending, squeeze the entire lime over the ingredients, and process together.
- Place the eggs on a serving dish, and use whichever method you'd like to scoop small amounts of the avocado mixture in to the egg whites (i just use a spoon).
-i top mine with a little bit of cayenne to add a little metabolic kickstart!

the beginning.

hi everyone!

i am new to this blogging thing but i just wanted to start out by explaining myself and why i am doing this! People are always telling me i need to create a website or blog about my fitness and self discovery journey. i cant be the only one who feels a little out of touch with themselves or is confused about the person they are and want to be. i want to find myself through fitness and health; mind, body, spirit.
Over the past year i have completely changed my lifestyle and added a greener outlook! i want to share all of the yummy recipes i have found and created myself, workouts that i think are wonderful, and create a place for beginners to start, considering i wasn't there too long ago.

i have always lived a little on the healthier side; rarely ate fast food, never liked soda, worked out often, played sports and was just over all a pretty active person. In March of 2012 i got a job at a local gym and it has been one of the best influences in my life. My boss probably cant stand me by now because i am constantly bugging him to train me and teach me everything he knows from physical fitness to mental strength to nutrition. i cant get enough! i always seem to have my nose in my laptop, phone, or library books researching anything and everything.
Yoga has always been an interest of mine, but i am taking it to the next level. i want to renew my soul and find what truly makes me happy. i want to be aware of my entire body and love it in every way possible. i want to see what my rabbit sees in me. (i call my boyfriend Scott rabbit occasionally)

i don't want people to think that doing everything i do will work for them because we are all different and our bodies do not work the same. i just want this to be a place where i share things i love, attempt to inspire others, and maybe give a bit of motivational advice!
