i’m NOT inspired by celebrities who have personal chefs, personal trainers, nutritionists, and the time to devote 24 hours a day to getting healthy. Sure, it’s fun to get motivated by them, but i know any comparisons are, at the end of the day, unrealistic.
i AM inspired by normal people, like my sister who had my beautiful little nephew and has worked her ass off to have the smokin' body she does now while still working and going to school.
i’m NOT inspired by the guys in the gym who spend all of their time doing six different bicep curls and four different ab exercises to make sure their perfect muscles are sculpted more perfectly.
i AM inspired by the sixty-eight year old guy i saw dead lifting 400 lbs. if i can dead lift half of that at his age, i know I’m doing something right.
What we read, write, and speak each day impacts our life in ways we’ve never imagined. i can't even tell you how many times a day i make references to movies, songs, books, etc. Your words are working behind the scenes to improve your day or sink your chances at living a better life.
i love living a healthy lifestyle and i have many friends who share my love. Some of them find their way through parkour, swimming, hiking, races, and even your dedicated crossfit goer/coach. “Here goes crazy crossfit girl again,” you may be thinking, and i have thought that as well, but that girl is one of my best friends. Her dedication and passion should be looked at as a positive thing because it just seems like our generation is lacking ambition. We have this mindset that we deserve things we don't work for. Everyone is in it for themselves and the world is becoming such a materialistic, pessimistic place. People are constantly saying things they don't mean, making promises they cannot keep, and swearing by things they do not believe in.
Well, as Professor Dumbledore so eloquently states: "Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.”
He is a wizard, so you might want to listen to him.
i was recently in a car accident, totaled my car, and completely changed my outlook. Ever since that night i have this crazy feeling that i am racing time. i want to experience everything, be the dare devil, adrenaline junky, world traveler, and just an over all adventurer without any restraints. i want to meet passionate people. i want to find myself in every corner of the world.
BE THANKFUL. BE GRATEFUL. BE RELENTLESS.
